3. Recovering Bodies: Overcoming Eating Disorders

Reviewed by Sheena's Volunteer

Recommended for: Individuals aged thirteen and up who are interested in learning more about eating disorders, suffer from an eating disorder themselves, or who are affected by the eating disorder of a loved one.

An educational video that provides information regarding eating disorders ranging from signs, symptoms, and complications of eating disorders to possible treatment and/or therapy options. Individuals (both male and female) who have suffered or are suffering from an eating disorder provide personal testimonies and offer hope to those with eating disorders by showing that recovery is possible.

Other topics discussed include control issues, changes that occur when leaving home to go to college, and the "fat phobia" that is present in the current society in which we reside. Overall, an informative video that is easy to follow and provides a glimpse into the complicated world of eating disorders.
