the editors
From our cozy cradle in the Internet we often ponder the good
and the not-so-good that's available at the end of our fingers.
While opening opportunities to acquire knowledge and foster connections
old and new, the net can also allow for exploitation under the
cloak of cyber-anonymity and the passing on of inaccurate information
passing as fact. So, caveat emptor (surfer beware). In this issue
we're including a couple of articles for people who may be
using the Internet as an adjunct or alternative to other forms
of therapy with some practical ways to keep you safe.
A fond hail and farewell to our founding publisher Ann Kerr whose vision and
energy put Flushed in motion four years ago. Although she's moved from
Sheena's Place, she'll always remain a friend and supporter. And a warm welcome to Anne Elliot, new Program Director and Flushed publisher, who joined us in June.
As always, thanks to our creative contributors, the wonderful
members of the editorial collective and to you out there for reading
Flushed.
Remember if you're
contacting us by e-mail, put Flushed in the subject line to avoid
our spam
filter.
See you in 2007 with the Winter issue.
